Job Responsibilities : Following general instructions, ensures critical review points and quality assurance controls are included in all application development projects. Develops cost estimates associated with recommended system development solutions. Assists in defining application requirements and participates in workshops, data and process modeling, and prototyping sessions. Assists in ensuring business and technical needs and opportunities are identified and satisfied throughout design, development, and implementation efforts. May plan agendas and facilitate meetings of medium complexity. Assists in the gathering and analysis of information required for proper technical design, including the identification and evaluation of purchased package solutions. Works with data/database administration functions to ensure proper design of system databases and appropriate integration with other corporate data. Assists with analyzing information and business process flows to integrate new applications with existing applications. Performs testing for moderately complex systems, and assists other analysts in testing complex systems. Helps develop critical measures to test function and system performance improvements. Assists business team in identifying training requirements to support application and other information technology use. May interact with security and infrastructure areas to recommend appropriate security and control factors and infrastructure requirements for applications. Job Qualifications : Education and Experience Requirements: Analyst II This position requires a four year degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in information technology Three years of development experience. In absence of a degree, seven years of related experience is required. Senior Analyst This position requires a four year degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in information technology. Five years of development experience. In absence of a degree, nine years of related experience is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge of concepts of information technology, standard application development methods, and relational database technology. Demonstrated ability to implement standard analysis, programming, and testing techniques across the development life cycle of systems. This is an exciting, challenging, and critical position that is responsible for constructing, dismantling, maintaining, replacing, repairing, and operating electric facilities.This position has a residency requirement of 35 minutes from headquarters. This position may participate in a Boot Camp and on-the-job training may take place in multiple sites throughout IP&L geographic territory. Travel, overnight lodging and expenses will be handled in accordance with bargaining agreement. Job Responsibilities : Job Duties: Install, tension, tie in and remove conductors/ guys. Install/remove, frame and climb poles, towers and other structures. Operate basket trucks, digger trucks, trenchers, backhoes and all other construction equipment. Restore electric service lost due to weather, equipment failure, or whatever cause, in a safe and prompt manner. Install and maintain street and security lighting equipment. Operate and maintain hydraulic/air tools and systems. Install underground electrical equipment including cable, switchgear, cable terminations and other related gear. Know and understand safety and construction standards. Trained in CPR and First Aid. Load and haul poles, transformers and material to job sites. Trim trees from power lines and operate chipper to dispose of brush. Install and transfer cablevision/telephone line during new and rebuild projects overhead/underground (requires no terminations or splicing and no entry to phone or cable pedestals). Field test and maintain line type transformers only, including taking oil samples Practice good housekeeping and equipment maintenance. Maintain truck stock and material inventory. May require mapping and paperwork related to job order changes. Perform daily equipment inspections. Installs, splices and secures conductors. Installs, changes, transfers and removes poles, poles line hardware, guys, transformers, lightning arresters, capacitor banks, regulators, fuses, electrical cable, cross-arms, energized conductors, insulators, conduit and any and all forms of electrical material and accessories utilized in the construction, maintenance, and operation of electrical circuits. Works on energized lines and equipment. Works with live line maintenance tools, Keeps informed on and abides by the required Safety Rules, Operating Practices and codes pertaining to all phases of line work. May lead and assist in training others in the same or lower classifications. Performs other duties, which are similar, related or incidental to this position and assist in other activities that do not require skills of a higher classification. Respond to emergency callouts to insure the safety of the public and employees. (We’re also on Twitter and Instagram.) •*The seasonal position is not benefits eligible* Job Responsibilities : In this role you will... •Be responsible for customer contact in areas of customer service, promoting current/new products and services available to customers •Have the power to resolve questions and problems that may include complex issues for resolution. •Deliver exceptional service (the type of service you like to receive!) to meet our customer’s needs. •Be the first line of customer contact in areas of customer service, credit and collections, web support, and billing taking inbound calls. •Be responsible for answering outage and emergency inquiries from customers to ensure accurate and timely response. Initiates work orders for meter readings, service requests, construction and customer program offerings. •Performs routine collection activities on delinquent accounts, including payment agreements and disconnections for non-payment. •Responds to customer inquiries and complaints related to routine billing issues and initiates action to resolve. Responsible for general understanding of regulatory rules and regulations to ensure the customer is billed properly. •Handle simple account adjustments. •Mentors less-experienced employees as needed. •All other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications : Required: •Education or equivalent to a high school diploma. •A minimum of 1-2 year’s technical and/or professional experience in related customer service skills. Preferred: •Call Center experience preferred. •Education or equivalent experience to a two-year degree from an accredited college or university preferred. •Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. •Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs and Windows-based customer information systems. •Ability to successfully complete web-based pre-employment screening assessments. •Demonstrated proficiency in basic math. •Ability to work under minimal supervision. •Ability to work in a diverse work environment. This position is covered by the Department of Transportation regulations on drug/alcohol testing (CFR 49, Parts 40 and 199), and is subject to drug/alcohol testing according to said regulations. This new role is an expanded, senior management position that opened because of a promotion. OPU has operating revenue of $60M, allowing service to 11,300 Electric customers along with water and natural gas. Working with eight direct reports and 25 indirect reports, this is a highly visible and influential position for an engineer seeking to grow their career to include broader management duties. Responsibilities will include Operations for all three utilities: design, implementation, linework, system planning, GIS, facilities, fleet, and maintenance. Are you seeking a change of scenery? Responsible for activities to drive innovation, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Coordinates branch and corporate resources and activities for customer development, project implementation, integration and retention. Formulates and articulates methods and plans for customer business process enhancements in the areas of procurement, logistics, operations, technology, and finance. Develops and maintains successful long-term alliance customer management relationships. RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Functions Implements and maintains strategies and relationships for the alliance customer while serving as the key contact and advocate. Participates in the development and implementation of annual plans and supports long-term goals and direction with the regional management for assigned alliance accounts. Ensures there is agreement compliance, customer satisfaction, relationship and process integration, core team communication and follow through for assigned alliance customers. Ensures consistent, accurate communication between the alliance customer and Border States. Uses established performance metrics to help drive continuous improvement. Collaborates with company sourcing, engineering and customer standards to ensure lowest total cost and supply chain continuity for the alliance customer. Participates in providing forecasts, strategy planning, coordination of initiatives, presentations, product category strategies, use of measurement tools, planning and coordination of annual efforts, resource deployment, and service management. Seeks out and identifies performance and internal relationship concerns and reports those concerns to executive management and helps develop issue resolution plans. Participates in established core team meetings. Participates in the development and implementation of short-term objectives and action plans to support overall satisfaction and retention of alliance customers, company and customer strategies, sales development, demand forecasting, proposal coordination, presentations, financial projections, cross market strategies, and measurement tools for assigned alliance customers. Provides input into the development of new supply chain solutions, systems, technology, methods, ideas, innovations and procedures that ensure retention and overall effectiveness and efficiency in serving alliance customers. Provides feedback from the field on customer satisfaction, pricing, products, quality, service, customer needs and new offerings. Provides feedback on the performance of vendors and acts as a vendor alignment advisor. Monitors sourcing and aggregation activities and collaborates with the alliance team to ensure service, reduce total cost, drive innovation and improvement, enhance relationships and to promote diversity. Non-essential Functions Involved in local supplier diversity events. Acts as a corporate customer advocate and performs the duties of the corporate representative for alliance core teams as assigned. Adheres to FY budgetary objectives, and provides accurate, timely documentation of expenses, and other information as requested. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor of designate.
Experience Required:
QUALIFICATIONS Four-year business, sales, marketing or trade degree or the equivalent in related work experiences. Minimum of four-years of prior customer service, marketing, and quotation or sales experience preferred. Minimum of five-years of prior distribution sales experience preferred. Experience with presenting in front of a large group. Technical competence in distribution to understand what drives our customers’ business to ensure we deliver meaningful business outcomes. Ability to read, write and speak in English required. Prefer strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and SAP software.
